The third episode is just plain weird, and makes me believe that Hitagi was designed as “Tsundere, Nisio Isin style”.

I love Nisio Isin, I really do. His writing is a mix of pop culture with word play and bizarre characters. I’m his goddamn target market.

It may be riding on the whole “No expectations – surprise; high expectations – disappointment” train, but I just hated the clichés in it.
