Narutaki’s picks:
- I Need All of This New Disney/Star Wars Merchandise
Especially the pins. Okay, mostly the pins. They do this every year so it isn’t a surprise but I look forward to the even greater mountains of stuff coming out thanks to the merger.
- Like I Needed More Reasons to go to Steak ‘n Shake?
Okay, I totally couldn’t eat that 7-patty burger but I want it anyway. The Steakburger Slinger sounds the most enticing though since it is breakfast combined with steakburgers!
- Let’s Hear It for the Villains
DC announced a new documentary about their rogues gallery. I love geekery documentaries and we’ve had a high supply of them in recent years. I’m kind of surprised they aren’t featuring their heroes first, unless I missed it? And can we expect similar from Marvel in the near future? Especially with Marvel’s powerhouse movie sales of late.
Hisui’s picks:

It isn’t a villain line-up without The Joker! Also this artist has a pretty sweet Batman/Spawn piece, too.

Hisui’s picks:
- Gemini Sunrise News Update
Lo and behold the talk about Project X Zone being ported over to North American was not merely hot air. They have one guaranteed sale from me. If you need to know if you should be interested in the game I think the opening it the best sales pitch your ever going to get. I’m just happy to get more Sakura Wars even if it is in a diluted form. Now if I could just get more Galaxy Angel in cross over games.
- All I Ask is Someone in Tokyo Do a Write Up in English
There is a wonderful Kunihiko Ikuhara exhibit in Ikebukuro from March 20th through 25th. It will be filled with Revolutionary Girl Utena and Penguindrum material and therefore is instantly awesome. But I am serious when I say someone needs to go there and do a serious report on what they see.
- The Resurrection of the Technocracy
I forgot to mentioned the planned release of a Mage: the Ascension 20th Anniversary book. I eagerly look forward to that as the person who last borrowed my 2nd edition Mage: the Ascension never gave that back. I’m curious to see what they cherry pick from previous version to place in this book.
- And You Though Vietnam Was a Quagmire
The Veef Show tackles on of the trickiest and most loaded subjects that anyone one into robot cartoons could ever touch upon: Transformers and their toys. It is an interesting look into a fandom that I only know by its … checkered reputation.
- If You Believed They Put a Man on the Moon
A very informative little video by an expert on video editing that proves that the technology to fake the moon landing did not exists at the time. It is funny to think it was easier to go into space than it was to fake it.
Narutaki’s picks:
- Star Wars VII is Like REALLY HAPPENING
Sure Disney said they were doing this, but with a director on board it feels like much more of a reality! J. J. Abrams sounds like a solid choice to me.
- HD Wind Waker
We aren’t totally sure about the details yet, but it still sounds amazing! And now I’m wondering if they’ll be releasing HD versions of others in the back catalog, could be pretty cool. I’m not much a current gamer so it is unclear if I’ll invest in WiiU despite this cool news.
- Sundance Screens Unauthorized Movie Filmed at Disney World
From the reports of the film, I don’t think I’d actually like it but the unauthorized production makes me curious about it. Though it sounds like it may never be released, ever, outside film festivals.
- The Good Ole Disney Renaissance
This is a good read though I don’t agree with his final conclusions about Disney animation. His complaints about live action remakes of fairy tales isn’t wrong, but he overlooks The Princess and the Frog as well as the upcoming animated version of Frozen. And Disney is still a leader in creating animation techniques from the hair in Rapunzel to the combination of hand drawn over top CG in Paperman, they are creating plenty of modern magic.

DEAR MY FUTURE
DEAR YOUR FUTURE

Narutaki’s picks:
- Jolly Old St. Gundam
Japan’s life-size Gundam gets into the holiday spirit!
- Welcome to Tatooine High
Love these designs for Star Wars if it was set in an 80′s high school. They smartly made Luke Skywalker into a Marty McFly-type.
- HeartCatch PreCure! 2
Okay, yeah, that is just wishful thinking. But these designs were just revealed for the new Precure series DokiDoki Precure! And you gotta admit the outfits and hair are a bit like HeartCatch. And doki is a word often used for heartbeats! And and and! I’m not getting my hopes up, but either way I’m looking forward to more Precure. Though that baby-looking thing seems like it will be annoying.
- Pups of Liberty
This is a new educational short about American history produced my some veteran Disney animators. So 2D animation, American Revolution, and dogs? I definitely want to pick this up.
Hisui’s picks:
- Collection Plate DX
CollectionDX has started an Indiegogo fundraiser in order to help upgrade their equipment so they can have on more guests and do live streaming shows for their video podcast. So if you want more live toy coverage you might want to throw a little cash in their jar.
- Murder Most Bizarre
The Danganronpa murder mystery games are getting an anime. I am always for more mystery anime but the games look very strange. Still I look forward to seeing how this turns out. Has anyone played the original games?
- EXACTLY What You Expected From a New Zettai Karen Children Anime … Oh Wait.
The Kyosuke Hyobu spin off anime certinally has its own feel in contrast to the original manga. Sadly is not is the 1960′s looking version of the show they sometimes use in the 4koma.
- Still No Train Geeks or Ham Radio Geeks
- Type-Moon News Round Up

Please gives us more HeartCatch!
