• Oscar’s Pachinko Revolution
  Apparently, unbeknownst to me there are multiple Rose of Versailles panchiko machines. These are images from the latest one. The only thing I’d be worried about is what is the ending video when you win? Rose of Versailles, not the happiest ending in the land.
• Bad Machinery in Print
  This quirky webcomic is something I recently started reading, but John Allison was a forerunner in webcomics way back when. He releases limited print-runs of story arcs, of which I have the recent Murder She Writes. But now, finally after many years, Bad Machinery are getting official collections from Oni Press.
• Video Game Prints
  These Ukiyo-inspired pieces featuring classic Nintendo characters are really nice. I think the Samus one is my favorite.
• Red Riding Redux
  This Disney long-lost short recently made its way to the surface again. It isn’t that old, 1997, but it has never been made available on home video despite being nominated for an Oscar. It is a rather unexpected production, it doesn’t feel like Disney all that much. The animation is more stylized and they even use photographs of objects in certain pieces. I can’t say I really liked it, but it was interesting to see.

Hisui’s picks:

• Busting the Myths about Zorg Industries
  The story of the 13+ years crusade of Adam Savage to recreate as perfect as possible  ZF-1 gun from The Fifth Element.
  
• Please Help Me Understand Doctor Who!
  Doctor Who is one of those Byzantine fandoms that is fairly simply to explain the general idea but the details of the lore nigh incomprehensible. This chart goes a long way in helping someone who knows Doctor Who fans at least have some idea of what they are talking about.
  
• How To Be An Awesome Creative Person
  Neil Gaiman is always awesome. But he is even more awesome when he talks about what it takes to succeed as a creative artist.
• This Link is Mostly Here Just Because They Have Gemini Sunrise
  Another Project X Zone preview. I want this game. It is just one of those games that never comes over to the states.

• Za Warudo on Your Phone
  Be filled with envy that you can get a Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure smart phone in Japan. First the Eden of the East phone and now this.
• Rage Against the Machine
  Gundamn! is back with its regular hosts and they are discussing Generation two of Gundam AGE. They do not hold back on the weaknesses of this arc of the story.
• You’ve Gotta Friend in Chaos Theater
  I am sure there is some monsters out who don’t like Pixar movies but they are monsters and we do not talk to them. For everyone else who was born with a soul there is the latest Chaos Theater podcast where they look at some of the best animated films of all time with friend of the podcast, Kristina Pino. As a side note: My favorite Pixar movies is Ratatouille.
• Another Game To Get Excited About Despite the Fact You Will Never Play It
  Project X Zone is another game that looks awesome but will never get released in English because it is a licensing nightmare. Unless someone would like to prove me wrong. I don’t mind that. But for goodness sakes they have Gemini Sunrise.
• Type-Moon News Roundup
  • The Most Important Cafe Selection: More Saber themed drinks. 
  • Why was it not the Lion-Go: There is also some Railgun action as well. 
  • The Illusive Tsukihime 2: The future plans of Type-Moon
  • “I’m the strongest!” is Not Just for Cirno Anymore: Who do fans think of as the strongest servant from Fate/Zero?

• Tiger & Bunny Popples!
  At least that’s all I could think when I saw these “transforming” plushies. And if you don’t know what a Popple is, lame.
• The Unsophisticated Frankenweenie
  An interview with Tim Burton about the production of the new animated version of Frankenweenie. What was most interesting was how he wanted the puppets to be less sleek because the Corpse Bride ended up looking like CG instead of stop-motion. I can totally see what he means, there is a charm to the roughness of his designs and their 3D counterparts.
• Customize Your Droid
  Walt Disney World is opening a Star Wars droid factory in their Hollywood Studios Park. There are a ton of options. I’m looking forward to doing this in the fall.

  The Ninja Consultants interview Felipe Smith about his unique artistic style and his experiences working as a manga artist in Japan. A rare insight into the industry.
• Can We Make a Rule That Ryukishi07 Can No Longer Draw His Own Characters?
  I am really looking forward to Rose Guns Days so this trailer is very welcome. An alternate universe 1940’s Japan seems like an interesting setting. I’m glad to see a 07th Expansion game were Ryukishi07 does not do all the character designs. I like the man as an author but he can give up doing character designs for his titles. 
• Now That is a Pre Order Bonus
  ‘Nuff said true believers.

  • A Certain Imaginary Number Affinity: What do you get when you combine A Certain Magical Index and Fate/Zero? Besides something only I would like.
  • Japan Has Some Strange Taste: Some choices are odd. Others are just very SUSPECT.
