• Ponies: The Anthology
  It is basically AMV Hell but with My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. They are little AMVs that last just long enough so that the joke does not wear out its welcome. Also my unrelated favorite Pony video as a bonus.
• LEGO X Gundam
  Some crazy person made a fully transformable and combining Victory 2 Gundam out of Legos.
• Otakon from across the Pond: Part 1
  More than just an Otakon podcast. The whole crew from the British Isles talks about coming to New York and then getting to Otakon.
• The Veef vs. The World
  Andrew takes on Daryl Surat, Redline, and Squid Girl in a no holds bar steel cage match.
• The More Things Change the More They Stay the Same
  A fascinating look by Wildarmshero at his triumphant return to Tokyo. A great examination of what parts of the city have changed and what has stayed the same not only after two years but also after the 3/11 earthquake.

Narutaki’s picks:

• Another entry in the ongoing “Women in Comics” discussion
  I have read so much now, I’m not totally sure where I stand anymore. But I might end up writing a little about it myself in the near future. 
• Films for Hope hosts Dai Soto and his work Five Numbers
  This is a charity event to benefit those affected by the Japan earthquake. Five Numbers, which I’ve yet to see, along with other films will be shown including Rain Town which I talked about before. Film festival will be at the Japan Society in NYC on Sept. 11th.
• Pirated Justice League #1 out before the real thing
  Even though DC has started doing same-day digital with the reboot, there are still some major hurdles. Honestly, they seem to be standing in their own way.
• Theme from The Rescuers
  I mentioned before about these lost recordings being put up, this one is the theme for the film. You have to turn it up, it is very low for some reason.

• Stripped: The Comics Documentary Coming Soon (Hopefully)
  With more than 200 hours of interviews in the pursuit of documenting the history of comics, many are hoping this project and its Kickstarter account are successful. 
• The Brave Beards And Mighty Moustaches Of Marvel And DC Comics
  So funny and simple that I actually printed them out to hang up!
• The Pillows New Tour Hits the U.S.
  Best known of their songs that appeared throughout FLCL, the Pillows are a quirky band. I just love them and they play a great live show so if you have a chance I highly recommend checking them out.

  Chaos Theater looks at the Doctor Who franchise mainly focusing on the 2005 reboot.
• Two New Pixar movies are announced
  The first new movie is about dinosaurs and the second takes place inside the human mind. Hopefully the second is not just a re-envisioning of Herman’s Head.
• Definitely more than friends
  A serious look at the homoerotic themes in No. 6. 
• Make your iPhone a member of Section 9
  Two iOS apps that you can get in the U.S. with Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex themes.
• Flyers you might not want to throw out: Part 1 and Part 2
  A collection of various flyers from Comiket 80. Warning: Suite PreCure♪ spoilers in Part 1.

• Rare Recording from Disney’s The Rescuers
  Or should I say Disney’s original concept for The Rescuers which was about bears! Not only did I learn some interesting history, but this song is amazing. It is incredible that a whole soundtrack was made and put away. I look forward to them releasing more songs in the coming months.
• Stop Calling Miles “Black Spider-Man”
  Race has been brought up a lot with a new Ultimate Spider-Man on the way. David discusses the damage of making Miles’s race his defining characteristic. On another related note, there is already Black Spider-Man which is Peter in the black symbiote suit!
• The Wizard of Oz in under 5-minutes
  This short animation is cleverly done with silhouettes and no dialogue.
• Unusual Amateur Detectives
  A great exploration of the variety of detectives outside of police and P.I.s from mostly manga.
