Shirabe Ako and the Eye of the Beholder

Pretty Cure is in a strange place where they have a glass. 50 percent of the glass has liquid and the other 50 percent does not. The question is do you see that glass as half full or half empty. Depending on your view of anime, magical girls shows, and fandom it tends to shade your view of the series and its fandom. Everyone agrees that the fandom of Pretty Cure is made of mostly of two categories of fans. There are the young girls who the show is ostensibly aimed at and the older male fans. Depending on your disposition who you think the majority of the fandom is, who the show caters to, and how much it curries the favor of either segment of the fandom depends on if you see that glass as half empty or half filled. Fate/Zero TV #006: Kiritsugu’s Performance Brings Down the House

Stand up to the Anniversary!

The Gundamn! @ MAHQ podcast just recently celebrated its 4th anniversary with a call in show where listeners could directly ask question on the air over Skype. The amount of people who showed up was slightly overwhelming with the waiting room for being filled with over 20 people, including yours truly. We each got to ask up to two questions and then men of Gundam answered them briefly but succinctly. If you are curious I was in the second batch on people who asked questions and I start at 19 minutes and 10 seconds. But even though the podcast is 3-hours long you should listen to it all as there are some remarkable questions and some equally clever responses. Come celebrate 4 years of podcasting with the biggest fans of Gundam on the Internet!
