The June 2013 Line-Up

A little bit of everything this month. The most shocking news to my mind was the announcement of not one, but two, new U.S. anime licensing firms acttil and Crimson Star Media.

I’m still surprised that Little Witch Academia is getting the attention that it did. It is nice to see a something with no real previous fanbase get that sort of attention.

The May 2013 Line-Up

AnimeSols is really the most exciting thing happening in May. But there are plenty of little gems, too.

Another eclectic month in licensing but little new streaming news. It seems that the U.S. companies are getting much better at get titles quickly. That is a good things as the longer titles are in limbo the more likely people are going to just start watching the fansubs.

The April 2013 Line-Up

This is one of those months where most of the news I remember is related to the new season of anime, like what titles are simulcasting and what Sentai Filmworks has decided to grab up (practically) sight unseen.

In this new digital world, if your are not licensing things almost immediately, you’re licensing them too late. That is the currently reality. I am wondering how quickly this will happen with manga that still has breathing room.
