As is traditional, we should ring in the new year by looking back on the one that came before it.
This year we invited our readers to answer the yearly questions we ask ourselves: What was the best anime of the year? Who were the stand-out characters? Who was TEH HOT? And various other questions. Some of their answers match our own and sometimes they are wildly different. Thank you to those who joined us in this merry exercise! We hope to bring it back again in 2016.
Welcome to (the first half of) our annual awards post. This post will be in our picks and tomorrow we will post all the guest selections to see where they agree and disagree with us. As always, this posts is mostly to remind us and the readers what was great about this year in anime. If you just focus on the shows like Bikini Warriors, Overlord, and Vampire Holmes you will tend to remember the year as a very depressing affair. But the goal of Reverse Thieves has always been to separate the wheat from the chaff and show you the best parts of the medium. Consider this a culmination of 2015.
