The Story of Saiunkoku (彩雲国物語) by Kairi Yura

Saiunkoku is about a kingdom and a romance, sounds simple enough, but it is anything but. The story while focusing on Shuurei is really about telling us the tale of an entire country’s nobles, peasants, conspiracies, politics, triumphs, woes, romances and even some supernatural forces.

Shuurei is a smart, hard-working, but poor noble princess who is brought to court in the hopes of helping the new emperor. She not only forms a close relationship with Ryuki the emperor, but also many others in his circle. Shuurei at first glance seems to be a too-perfect-nice-girl type but that quickly dissolves as you get into the meat of the story. She is extremely intelligent, on par with her male peers, and shows little intimidation in the many political situations.

Fate/Zero S2 TV #009: Silent Night, Holy Grail

Angra Mainyu, All the Evil in the World, the corrupting spirit that lives with in the Grail. As its name is invoked in the title of this episode it can only mean that the true essence of the Grail and the Holy Grail War itself begins to unfold in this episode. Kirei has had his awakening to the true darkness that dwells within him so he has no hesitation in bringing and end to the Holy Grail War. The questioning priest at the beginning of the war is gone. Only a monster who wishes the most cruel ending to the war remains in his place. And so the challenge to the remaining participants goes out. Kirei wishes for them to attend his banquet of blood. The Grail itself is only to eager to see his dream come to fruition.

Fate/Zero S2 TV #008: The Downhill Masters of Fuyuki City

I promise you this post will be more than just pictures of Saber on a motorcycle with flowery prose about female knights on 2 legged steeds ruling the kingdom of the highway. I’m not exactly sure WHY you would want more than that but you will get it anyway. I have hyped up this road warrior battle since the first season so it is fairly sweet to finally taste the payoff from those expectations. There are also some other politics and betrayals going on in the background but those are only of minor consequence. Hardly even worth mentioning. Oh. Due to personal matters you might notice that I got this post out FAR earlier than I usually do. My normal Saturday engagement fell through so I was actually able to watch the stream BEFORE the raw even came out. I don’t think there is any way else to prove how amazingly fast these simulcasts are.
