    Depending on where you preorder there is a good deal of nifty items you can get with Playstation Vita version of Fate/Hollow Ataraxia. Some of those items are some sweet pieces of Takashi Takeuchi art.

    The new trailer for Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late trailer confirms that Sion Eltnam Atlasia is still in the game. Hopefully she will also be in the English release.

Fate/kaleid liner PRISMA ILLYA 2wei! #001: Illya Saves Anime

hisui_icon_4040 The anime industry is in a sad state of affairs. There is nothing but incest and idols shows being made. There has not been a major shonen success in years. Shinichiro Watanabe has been banned from making any anime. There is no hope.

But a single light can save anime. It is the light of a young lady. A magical girl. Not Sailor Moon (I mean Sailor Moon could have saved anime but they will never be able to re-release that show because of Stars). Not Cardcaptor Sakura. No one likes CLAMP anymore. Yes it is Illyasviel von Einzbern and Fate/kaleid liner PRISMA ILLYA 2wei! They will save anime. Forever.

OK. Other than picking Akikan! or Yosuga no Sora I don’t think I could have picked a worse title to “save anime.” So we can now officially put the “this is the title that will save anime” meme/joke/platitude to rest.

So instead lets talk about the new season of the Illya as a magical girl anime.

  • Everyone has a Crush on Bazett
    Or at least they should. She is damn hot. But beyond that truism there is a nice write-up on the doujin game The Law of Contradiction that features Bazett as the heroine. It is not translated but the J.The.E has a fair amount of information about it in the post. The game has Ciel with Seventh Holy Scripture in it so it has my thumbs up.
  • Speaking of Less Popular Purple Haired Heroines
    Under Night In-Birth was picked up by Aksys Games for North American release. That might not seem like something worth noting here BUT Sion Eltnam Atlasia is a playable character in that series.
  • Caren Hortensia Quietly Judges You
    The website for the PlayStation Vita port of Fate/Hollow Ataraxia now has a bunch of voice samples for the game including characters who have not been voiced until now (in the visual novels).
  • I’m REALLY only Linking to this for the Picture at the Top
    There is some BS about Rin’s new costume. Whatever.
  • LOVE LIVE ILLYA
    Live character drawing is always fun to watch.
  • Saber Takes Over Everything
    Apparently Arturia Pendragon is on the cover of Hana no Miyako! volume 3. That woman is everywhere.

    Maybe we will see Caliburn: Golden Sword of the Victorious in the future?
