Type-Moon Weekly News Roundup: Saber – The Origin

This Saturday post is the weekly Type-Moon news in addition to the regular APB post on Sunday. If you have any suggestions for what to highlight on the Type-Moon Weekly News Roundup drop me a line via email or Twitter.

  • A Date Which Will Live Infamy
Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya will premiere on TV on July 12. So drops the magical Illyasviel bomb. We shall see how it goes.
  • How Rin Tohsaka Has Fallen
The 2nd Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya is out and it has much more magical girl action than slice of life meandering.
  • The Summer that was Recalled Out on TV
Kara no Kyoukai is getting an edited TV run this summer. It will only be material from the first four and seventh movie. Oblivion Recorder was always easy to drop and Paradox Spiral is just so very long. But overall I am glad to see the series get more exposure.
  • I Wonder How Many Otaku Have 3-D TVs
If you did not already spend an obscene amount of money of the regular The Garden of Sinners Blu-Ray Box set you can go out and get the new one with 3-D. Or you can buy them both if your Scrooge McDuck Money Bin just has too much gold in it.
  • The True Advent of Ayaka Sajyou
Fate/Prototype is being novelized much like the recent Fate/Apocrypha series. It will be written by Sakurai Hikaru from Liar Soft, and the illustrations will by Nakahara. The chapters will be running in Comptiq magazine. It is really only a matter of time before we get a Red Saber TV series. (Not that I mind. At all.)
  • She’s Actual Size, but She Seems Much Bigger to Me
Cu-poche Saber is preparing to use Invisible Air to open up a can of the Bounded Field of the Wind King on you in this cute little figure from Kotobukiya.
  • Unearthed Arcana
Some distinctly obscure Type-Moon stuff comes out with a translation of the Sora no Soto manga bu Nasu.
  • Dramatic CD Irony
A few more details on the Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya game for the 3DS including what will be bundled with the special edition version.

Type-Moon Weekly News Roundup: New Costumes Unlocked

This Saturday post is the weekly Type-Moon news in addition to the regular APB post on Sunday. If you have any suggestions for what to highlight on the Type-Moon Weekly News Roundup drop me a line via email or Twitter.

  • Perfect Strangers: The Fate/Zero Reboot
There are some strange team ups in this upcoming Fate/Zero: Next Encounter game that is on its way. I am certainly intrigued by the idea of Kiritsugu Emiya and Archer team up. They distinctly have a feel that is somewhere between fan fiction and Elseworlds. I just wish it was not a Social digital card game so I could be more interested in it. But Japan is obsessed with those games lately.
  • More Triple D
The appendix of the second DDD novel has been translated so and English-speaking audience can get more insight into this hidden part of the Type-Moon Universe.
  • All the Fun of Living the Adventures of Emiya Kiritsugu
Some amazing Fate/Zero cosplay with some fairly hardcore scenery that sell everything as much as the costumes (if not more.) You can taste the blood-soaked tears of folly and regret.
  • Taken: Starring Irisviel von Einzbern
The translation of the 2nd part of Irisviel’s story in Fate/Tiger Colosseum UPPER is up if you want to enjoy that.
