S.W.A.T. Reviews: Spring 2014 Pt. 1

The premise of these reviews is simple: watch the first episode of a series and then immediately sit down to record a review mini-podcast. The reviews are five- to ten-minutes long and entirely off the cuff. As always we only review new shows (so no sequels or continuations) and try to avoid anything that just looks outright awful. These are the first batch from the new season:

Type-Moon Weekly News Roundup: Over/Night Shipping

This Saturday post is the weekly Type-Moon news in addition to the regular APB post on Sunday. If you have any suggestions for what to highlight on the Type-Moon Weekly News Roundup drop me a line via email or Twitter.

  • Super Duper Sonico
Of course it is only a matter of time before Sonico and Saber team up like the Tango and Cash of cash cow mascots.  I don’t give a fig about Sonico but I always enjoy seeing Saber in different outfits. Really this is just a prelude to an official Saber and Aigis crossover.
  • The Further Adventures of Arika Ishizue
We might actually see a third DDD sometimes sin the foreseeable future.
  • Nothing Will Stop Fate/School Life
It is already up to book seven. I would have never expected the series to last this long but there it is.
  • I Believe in Archer
Figma Archer is one step closer to being real. He is even showing up on Japanese blogs.
  • The Wedding has Been Delayed
The Saber Bride Nendoroid is delayed. This is hardly unexpected.
  • The Dark Side of the Force
Now Kuro has a voice actress in Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya 2wei!
  • Defending the Grail
A more detailed look at the Tower Defense game included in the Fate/Hollow Ataraxia for the Vita.
  • The Sickness of Corruption
An injured Saber is the new Clayz’s figure. I wonder if this is her after fighting Gilgamesh or her after the Battle of Camlann.
  • Eternal Flame
A new Fate/Extra Saber figure from Good Smile Company. Another piece of proof that it is a time of Pax Romana in the Fate fandom.
  • Among the Lanterns
I usually don’t look at the fan art galleries on Crunchyroll but I random spotted this very nice bit of Fate/Extra Caster fan art buried near the bottom.
  • Have a Drink with Gil
    Time to preorder Nendoroid Gilgamesh.
