Santa Jack Skellington Revoltech

I have many loves and hobbies, one of my lesser spoken about on the blog is my collection of The Nightmare Before Christmas memorabilia. It is a great time to collect it because Japan makes a lot of unique and wonderful pieces. I won’t be going into my back log of merchandise, but you can expect to see new stuff showing up here on the blog. Happily, Revoltech recently released a classic Jack Skellington and his Santa version.

I strongly believe Jack should always be posed with dramatic, Shakespearean flair! As most know a big selling point for Revoltech is the articulation (even his beard moves!), this is present in Jack though I could not pose his arm to be clutching his chest. This is a unique problem caused by his much more spindly design, everything seems very delicate. I was worried when changing his hands especially about snapping off digits. However, I had great lucky with the stability. I was even able to carry it around without pieces popping off the base.

Zero is a nice addition to the package. His ears and mouth move, too. The accessories are functional like Jack can hold the bag, and the snowman has a place to sit on the base as well. They really got the characters dead on as well as the color of the world, this is more apparent when comparing Santa Jack to classic Jack (which sadly I don’t have to show, yet). One cool bonus if you do buy the classic Jack is he comes with further different faces and accessories giving you much more flexibility between the two.

Very glad to have this in my collection and it is one piece I won’t be constantly worrying about breaking. I hope they make other characters or if not at least a Pumpkin King Jack which is my favorite variation by far. Now to get Classic Jack!

    The beard moves? Wow..

I sometimes fear of snapping the joints whenever I change my figmas as well. They’re just too delicate, and I’m just too clumsy.
