• Anime Clothes in Animal Crossing
  I have been seeing a lot of good ones lately including Utena and Penguindrum related uniforms and of course Attack on Titan.

• Did you REALLY Pay Attention For All 5 minutes and 18 seconds?
  The brain is a very special machine. This little video peeks into our amazing ability to filter information for better and for worse. Also all around cool dude Mike Rugnetta appears in this video as well.
• AnimeNEXT Round Up
  While this site had a good deal of AnimeNEXT coverage we were hardly the only site to do that. Also a lot of these reviews talk about things at AnimeNEXT I never really care to cover.
  • Captains Journal Entry, Stardate 2013: The Journal of the Lincoln Heights Literary Society has a nice overview of the con along with detailed transcripts of the Sayo Yamamoto and Hiroshi Shimizu interviews. You can find those here and here.
  • Was there THAT much Magi Cosplay?: Japanator has  gallery of cosplayers from AnimeNEXT you might have missed.
  • The Manga Maestro vs. The Anime Convention: Xan of the Spiraken Manga Review takes on AnimeNEXT 2013 via 6 of his own panels.
  • Proof the “Cosplay is Not Consent” Movement is a Real Thing: A sad little story from AnimeNEXT that clearly shows that horrible behavior towards cosplayers is hardly uncommon.
  • Glamor and Glitter! Fashion and Fame!: Anime Diet looks at all the Japanese fashion events I always skip. They also wrote up the Vertical industry panel.
  • Martin Brody’s Con Report: Ani-Gamers talk about the crowding issues among other things in their con report.
  • Those Without Sin Can Do the First Con Report: The Absolution Network did a general overview of the con as well as a short interview with Greg Ayres and Uncle Yo.
  • A Tasty Wrap: Omo shares a bit of his AnimeNEXT experience.

  Everyone loves top 10 lists so why not like to a top 10 list from Neil Gaiman. In this list we get a list of his favorite mythical characters.
• Khaleesi
  It is a Game of Thrones Rap Battle at a children’s Birthday Party. Need I really say anything else?
• What if the Spice and Wolf Guy Wrote a Visual Novel?
  That is no longer a question you have to ask yourself. Isuna Hasekura wrote World End Economica and it is an all ages story with an English translation.
• The Evolution of a Survival Strategy
  Hoshino Lily recently posted a chart showing how her character design from 1991 to today. If you like Mawaru Penguindrum or just seeing the evolution of an artist then it is worth a look.

  Scientists have been trying to figure out how Romans made such long lasting and durable concrete for ages, well they finally figured it out! This could change modern architecture.
• So the Flaming C Will be in Injustice Gods Among Us?

• Fables Comes to the Screen
  Maybe. It is always maybe with this series at this point since there have been lots of plans over the years.

Hisui’s picks:

• Girls! Let’s GO! Smile! Smile! Pretty Cure!
  Just a wonderfully vibrant Figuarts Cure Happy from Smile PreCure!. The figure captures the energy and joy of the series as well as Hoshizora Miyuki herself.
• Raymond Chandler’s Star Wars Rewrite
  These are some inventive Timothy Anderson art that re-imagines the original Star War’s trilogy as pulp novels.
• Samurai Blue’s Fetching Mascot
  Since I am a fan of Mine Yoshizaki’s character design I just wanted to show of his art in honor of the Japanese team qualifying for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. As always he specializes in designs that are sexy and cute.
• Remember the Soviet Union? They Decided to Quit After Watching a DeltaForce Marathon on Satellite TV
  The I ♥ The 80′s podcast tackles the Golan Globus “classic” Delta Force with Chuck Norris. 
  
• Game of Thrones Round Up
  Certain events of Game of Thrones understandably made the audience go crazy. It’s a nice day for a Red Wedding.
