Postmortem: Galilei Donna

Sometimes our first impressions in S.W.A.T. Reviews aren’t right. This may result in us continuing a show that goes to hell and we later end up dropping it. We figured our listeners might be curious to hear why we just couldn’t stand to continue on with a series. Just like the S.W.A.T. Reviews, these will be five- to ten- minutes long and completely off the cuff. There (hopefully) won’t be too many Postmortems in a season, but you never know.

All the Titles Fit to License, 2013 Edition

We are posting this list a little early in the hopes it can be helpful to people making year end lists and the such. We’ve included all anime, manga, artbooks, light novels, and successful crowdfunding projects for the U.S. on our list. We’ll update the list as the month goes on in case companies have some holiday surprises in store.

There were nearly 200 anime licensed or rescued in 2013, pretty incredible. And almost half of those were from Sentai Filmworks. Big light novel pick-ups were some of the surprises this year as well as AnimeSols dedication to bringing us classic anime. As for manga, we got over 150 titles this year! And Seven Seas wins the prize for licensing the most manga based on Alice in Wonderland.

The November 2013 Line-Up

narutaki_icon_4040 A rather mixed bag this month with a little bit of everything celebrate in each category. I was excited to see a little more information come out regarding the next Detective Conan movie.

hisui_icon_4040 I still say Six God Combination God Mars is the oddest title here. But good to see Space Dandy is on track to be HUGE. Hopefully it will live up to expectations.

The Line-Up is a monthly rundown of newly licensed in the U.S., newly streaming in the U.S., crowdfunding projects, and newly announced anime and manga projects.
