We made a little guest appearance on the Ani-Gamers podcast this month. It is broken into two parts, the first here is just a little bit about what we’ve all been reading, watching, and/or playing recently. It’s not particularly insightful but we each talk about stuff we haven’t gone into on the blog much like Tetsujin-28 (2004), Candy Candy, and Sakura Wars 5.The second part where we finally get to let out our thoughts on Code Geass should be up in a week or so, we’ll let you know!

The Sore Feet Song: Mushishi MMF Podcast
The Movable Manga Feast is a project started by David of the The Manga Curmudgeon. Once a month a different manga that needs some attention is highlighted and over the course of a week everyone participating writes an article about the title in question. It is called a Movable Manga Feast because every month a different person is in charge of aggregating all the articles for the MMF. This month’s topic was Mushishi by Yuki Urushibara. You can read our contribution to the MMF here. Ed Sizemore of Comics Worth Reading was the host who decided to cap off his turn by having a podcast with some of the participants reflecting on Mushshi. I sadly went on without Narutaki since he was feeling a little under the weather. Along with Ed, David, and I was Linda from Animemiz, Daniella from All About Manga, and Johanna from Comics Worth Reading. We had a lively and stimulating discussion about the franchise.
April Manga Moveable Feast Roundtable – Mushishi
We mispronounce Gesicht a lot on the Manga Out Loud podcast.
Recently the Manga Out Loud podcast posted a wonderful two-part discussion, full of spoilers so be warned, about Pluto by Naoki Urasawa and Takashi Nagasaki. Being based on Tezuka’s Astro Boy story The Greatest Robot on Earth the series has plenty of history to contend with as it adds its own spin on things. We got into such a huge and length discussion after we both listened to the podcast we decided to send him an audio response. Ed decided to share it on the site, but please forgive us as it was just a personal response so we babble a bit. Please go listen to if you have a chance!
