My birthday recently passed on the 21st. As an adult I sadly don’t get much of a haul anymore. But on the rare occasion I do get a special kind of wonderful. This year my friends were amazingly generous enough to all chip in and buy me something very special. Since I have been down on my luck recently I have not been able to buy much with what little free cash I have. That means a great deal of tempting but pricy luxury items simply slip through my fingers. But one that is certainly worth lusting for is the Saber & Saber Motored Cuirassier PVC. It is hardly a secret that Saber is my favorite character. And a sword wielding Saber in a suit who is also riding a motorcycle is certainly a fortuitous mixture of things that I find appealing. So naturally this is a figure that has my name all over it. Since it is such a well made figure given to me so generously I had to share a little review with everyone.

The Tsukihime Remake and the Database Animal

If you read my recent little report about the Type-Moon Fes you will notice that there was one very important piece of news I made no commentary on. That was the unveiling of the Tsukihime Remake preview video. As of when I write this article I have not found any footage from the event of what was shown but when I find something I will edit it in. What is important is that when I started reading the info dump from people who were scanning Twitter for news there was no video footage at all. All we had were a few brief descriptions from people who attended the event. While most people seemed very impressed by what they saw of the preview they mentioned one thing above anything else. Ciel was radically redesigned. That news came as a shock to me. As one of the few Ciel fans I was a little worried about my favorite Tsukihime heroine. Continue reading →

Type-Moon Fes: A Metric Ton of News

On July 7th and 8th was one of the keystone moments of the year for Type-Moon fans. It was the Type-Moon Fes, a celebration of the 10th anniversary of Type-Moon. There were events with the voice actors from various Type-Moon games, concert performances, exclusive merchandise, and of course curry. There were also a good deal of announcements about up coming Type-Moon projects as well. I figured I would run them down here for anyone who did not want to dig through various pages looking for the juicy tidbits they might have missed.
