  • Never Going to Give You Up
A complete Klingon language video of the infamous Rick Astley’s “Never Gonna Give You Up”. Now you can Rick Roll all your TV sci-fi fan friends. But not your literary sci-fi fans friends. They only get really insulted that you think they like Star Trek.
  • Face lick! Mmmm you taste real good.
Bad Lip Reading and Game of Thrones. I don’t really have to say anything else. Your already clicking the link.
  • Atlanta Is Burning
The OSMcast! and the Chainsaw Buffet fought back to back to give us the best darn Anime Weekend Atlanta 2013 coverage. Banzai food trucks! Banzai!
  • Men Behaving Badly
Sadly another major incident of a cosplayer getting harassed at NYCC. Are these horrible shock video guys becoming a thing? A hope not.
  • Not the Superhero Identity of Theodore Knight
All Geeks Considered looks at John Carpenter’s 1984 film Starman.

Type-Moon Weekly News Roundup: Misaya Reiroukan – A Perfect Beauty

This Saturday post is the weekly Type-Moon news in addition to the regular APB post on Sunday. If you have any suggestions for what to highlight on the Type-Moon Weekly News Roundup drop me a line via email or Twitter.

  • Beach Blanket Bingo
A better look at the Beach Queens figure of Aoko Aozaki. There are two version of her. There is a normal version and a RURIHIME version.
  • Dr. Goldfoot and the Bikini Machine
Even more beach time fun with the Blue Gunner.
  • The Shiki Scrolls IV: Oblivion
Some good shots of the Garden of Oblivion book that was given to audiences at the first screenings of Kara no Kyoukai: Mirai Fukuin. I do wonder what that story is about. I guess it is off to Google to find out.
  • Was There Any Mapo Tofu Ramen for Kotomine?
Ufotable’s had a big event in their home town of Tokushima-city where you could get some Fate/Zero themed ramen as well as other Type-Moon related food items. Ufotable also made some big announcements about their Type-Moon related plans for 2014 and beyond. Not a lot of details were mentioned but it seems like 2014 will be fun.
  • The First Type-Moon Weekly News Roundup Cub Reporter
Friend of the blog and fellow Type-Moon fan Wensleydale_ found some Japanese coverage of the event that has a bit more detail about what went on. YMMV on how useful the article is as it is all in Japanese but even a cursory machine translational shows it has some useful tidbits contained within. Maybe one day we will actually see Girls’ Work. Maybe.
  • Let’s All Go To The Lobby
At look at the ufotable CINEMA theater during the Anime Festival Machi Asobi. There is of course some great Kara no Kyoukai material on display.
  • NYCC Does Not Disappoint
Saber always finds a way. Even onto the show room floor of New York Comic Con via the Good Smile booth.
  • Waver Velvet: Moe OVERDRIVE
Tomopop reviews the Sad Summoner Waver Velvet figure with his accompanying joyful mini Rider. Technically the figure is just called Alter’s Waver Velvet but I like my name better.

Reverse Thieves Join the Motion Picture Research Club

Just as a heads up, we’ve started to put out our podcasts on YouTube. Do not worry however, the normal Libsyn feed is not going anywhere. We just wanted to offer another way of listening to our content and maybe expand our audience a bit. Right now the YT-versions of the podcast are super primitive with the same content you would get with the normal podcasts. We might be more ambitious in the future, but for now this is enough.

The Reverse Thieves YouTube Channel

Yes. We found a way to work a Hayate reference into the title. That is just what we do.
