S.W.A.T. Reviews: Spring 2012 Pt. 1

The premise of these reviews is simple: watch the first episode of a series and then immediately sit down to record a review mini-podcast. The reviews are five- to ten-minutes long and entirely off the cuff. As always we only review new shows (so no sequels or continuations) and try to avoid anything that just looks outright awful. This was an early release for the new season:

Thinking about your comment of where’s the snarky protagonist for the reverse harem, the female Kyon, I realize that the answer is actually “Haruhi.” Only, it’s not Suzumiya Haruhi but HOST CLUB Haruhi.

That is true. It is interesting that while she was popular I don’t think Harhui from Host Club made the same long term effect that Kyon did. But I think the snarky harem lead trend sort of died down once Haruhi fandom died down as well.
