S.W.A.T. Reviews: Spring 2012 Pt. 4

The premise of these reviews is simple: watch the first episode of a series and then immediately sit down to record a review mini-podcast. The reviews are five- to ten-minutes long and entirely off the cuff. As always we only review new shows (so no sequels or continuations) and try to avoid anything that just looks outright awful. Here are 6 more from the new season:

All right! Essentially notes as I’m listening to the reviews:

“Wait, I’m stalking people on Twitter too…I don’t hear Polar Bear being hyped as the best show of the season… O.o But yeah, I didn’t find it funny, aside from the mom panda vacuuming her son. In comparison, the funniest show happened to be Hyaruko-San: Another Crawling Chaos. And I didn’t think it would be the case!

Hey hey, there are reluctant shounen protagonists…I bet. I just can’t think of them Narutaki! Do not be fooled!”

Anyways, for some reason the Saint Seiya review stopped around 4:40-5ish, I’m can only guess you both won’t be taking too many chances with it. And as for that basketball anime, I would love to also know your thoughts about it, except there’s no sound coming from it -_-

Ok, it’s working. Thanks Hisui. Now back to my initial thoughts…^^

“All right, another one on the Kuroko bandwagon! For now of course.

Huh. I actually found Accel World to be pretty well paced. Lots of questions that need answers, but with 23 more eps left, it has some time to grow I hope. So hopefully the story picks up for you Narutaki!

I’m sorry. I’ve been trying to get into Saint Seiya, but I don’t know about this one. Though the music got better as the episode went on. I think I’d rather slog through the originals some day though.”

All right, so those were my thoughts on the reviews. I haven’t watched the first ep of Lupin Fujiko yet, but not in any particular rush yet (gotta focus on school stuff!), but I’ll check it when Funimation (somehow and finally) gets it up online. Or Nico Nico. Looking forward to the next few S.W.A.T Reviews…
