On the fifth day of Christmas, my true otaku love would raid the caves of Arabia for a Certain Magical lamp and with one of her wishes grant me … time. Time to catch up on all the shows that look interesting, that I may laugh and cry and talk about them with friends; time to read and listen to all the thoughts in all the blogs and podcasts of all my friends who put so much effort into trying to make the world a more informed and entertaining place; and time with which to give back to the community in the form of a flood of writing goodness, be it via panels, reviews, or comments.

On the fifth day of Christmas, my true love would give to me…the last five volumes of Kaoru Mori’s Emma…

…because I totally can’t afford to pay for them now that it’s out of print. (Oh Yen Press, will you hear our cry?)

  3. Colleen McLoughlin says:

My true otaku live…hmmmm. I guess my true otaku love would give me the ability to magically know Japanese so I can read all the interesting manga in Japan that will never have a chance to be released in English.
