Drink #042: Sailor Moon
Some of Our Favorite Magical Girls
The problem with the magical girl genre in America is that there haven’t been a lot of titles to hit the states so you think you know the tropes but do you really? While we are hardly scholars on the subject, we try to at least contextualize maho shojo outside of just being Sailor Moon, Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha, and Puella Magi Madoka Magica. We also talk a bit about our favorite titles.
But before we get to what we talk a bit about the Cosplay is Not Consent movement and the bizzaro backlash against it.

And now your helpful bartenders at The Speakeasy present your drink:
The Sailor Moon
30 ml white rum
30 ml Charleston Follies liqueur
lemon juice
Champagne
Shake white rum, charleston follies and lemon juice with ice. Strain over ice in an old-fashioned glass. Fill with champagne, garnish with a slice of lemon, and serve.
ICE CREAM MAN! I want a bomb pop!
What the what?
