  This is one of my most anticipated books of the summer. Read an excerpt full of spooky, moor goodness.
• Sisters Divided
  Apparently the last Splatfest was really important.

 Alain’s picks:

• The Truth of the Squattocracy
  A few clarifications and corrections about the life of the infamous bushranger Ned Kelly.
• Give Me Fate/Extra CCC
  An argument for why localizing foreign games makes far more business sense than it ever has before.
• If Only it Did not Have that ONE Scene
  A brilliant breakdown of Sukeroku doing Rakugo for his former boss. It really highlights the strengths of Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju.
• The M. Night Shyamalan Twist
  On the subject of Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju I also found a brilliant video examining one of the bigger revelations in the series. Sufficed to say it is filled with spoilers.

  Finally a book that goes in-depth about the women who helped make the studio’s early films what they were! Since the book is from Disney themselves, I doubt we will get an in-depth critique of anything, but acknowledging these women is a big deal.

• 1957’s Funny Face
  A look at what might be causing the super weird faces in Mass Effect Andromeda. It does not have any definitive answers but the speculation is an enlightening insight into game animation.
• I Know What You Did Last Summer Games
  As games have more information about you just sitting on the machine you play them on how can they use this info to enhance your experience? Should they even do it in the first place?
• Stephen Graham Jones, Isaac Asimov, and Franz Kafka are an Unusual Trio
  All Geeks Considered examine three VERY different short stories.

The Handmaid’s Tale is brilliant and haunting.
