OK! We can do this! I think I can really catch up. I’m a little worried I am cursing myself by typing these words but we shall see how that works out. If something goes utterly wrong I have a plan where I just make this paragraph a quote as proof that when I started writing this I had nothing but high hopes.

The beach episode is the beach episode. It is practically written into the DNA of a show like this. The show could no more resists the calls of the ocean (or Waku Waku Splash) than a moth can resist the flame. The sooner this passes the sooner they can get back to card collecting and delving into Miyu’s past.

Just in case anyone was worried I am still doing the Fate/kaleid liner PRISMA ILLYA reviews. With my vacation, Otakon, work, Fate/Grand Order, and other projects I am behind on EVERYTHING. My life since then has just been a game of catch-up. My official goal is going to be to try to knock out with my reviews by the end of the week. We shall see how that goes. If nothing else it is only Primsa Illya. What I really should be focusing on is Fate/Grand Order and the Hero of France. Got to get in on the ground floor of that Kojirou boom before it is too late.

OK. One thing at a time.

There is a bit of an art to picking pictures for blog posts. I will never claim to be the Leonardo da Vinci of screencaps. But I can at least try to keep the pictures here on the classier side of things. With this episode (and the next episode) it is going to be a bit of a challenge. They are finally making it to the long promised (or threatened depending on your point of view) beach episodes.

If your mad there are no Illya and Chloe make out pictures I merely directly to the rest of the internet that has talked about this episode before me. Seek and ye shall find. Quite easily in fact.

It seems that I have finished another season of Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya. I have to say I’m glad that this season was only 10 episodes as it gives me some time to rest before I dive into episode reviews of Unlimited Blade Works in only a few weeks.

Overall this season felt a lot more segmented when it came to fan service and action. The first season distinctly had points of extreme fan service and periods of exciting action but something about this season felt a little more like A (like the A in T&A) episodes mostly focused on A and B (for battle) instead spent their time giving you B. I suppose that was a good thing for people who really wanted one or the other but I did like the smoother mix in the last season. It did not help that some of those early yuri tease scenes were a bit gratuitous. If I never see another porn kiss in this series my life will the all the richer for that.

But this season finally let Bazett have her time to shine so if the show never does anything good again it at least did one very good thing. It is one thing to have a fan following due to your appearance in the visual novel but once you’re in an anime your potential fan base increases ten fold. We might actually see the Master of the Multi-Reverse Punch get some love in the form of figures and guest appearances in the future. It could save her from being forgotten in the Caster heap.
